Iain Decker, D.O., is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Huron Ophthalmology, serving patients in Ann Arbor. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and eyelid surgery.
A native of Grosse Pointe, Dr. Decker completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University before finishing medical school at Michigan State University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio, and was honored to serve as the Chief Resident during his final year of residency. He was a recipient of the Patrick Murray Award from the AOCOO-HNS, given to the resident with the highest score on the OKAP national in-service training exam, and received the Presidential Resident Recognition Award.
Before joining Huron Ophthalmology, Dr. Decker was a staff physician for four years at Beloit Health System in Beloit, Wisconsin while his wife completed her medical training in Chicago. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Decker has a special interest in optics and refractive outcomes after cataract surgery, and intra-ocular lens technology.
Dr. Decker is an Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis and golf, and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.
