Telehealth:

We are pleased to offer a Telehealth option to our patients for certain types of care during this challenging time and dealing with social distancing and Covid-19.Our clinical technicians may call you to review medications, gather your symptoms, and get information ready for your provider ahead of your Telehealth appointment.

Our Telehealth appointment option is HIPAA compliant and technologically secure. These appointments are only appropriate for certain types of eye problems. Call the office and ask to speak with a technician to determine if a Telehealth appointment is appropriate for your current eye problem.

Additionally as of May 11 we are now seeing both emergent and non-emergent patients.  Because of this, we are following the a combination of CDC, State of Michigan, and American Academy of Ophthalmology guidelines.

We screen everyone entering our building:

  • Everyone is screened for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors as they enter our buildings.  We ask everyone who was previously Covid-19 positive to have no fever or symptoms for 14 days prior to the appointment date or a confirmed Covid-19 negative test.

  • All staff members and physicians are screened daily. They do not come to work if there is any sign of symptoms related to COVID-19.

We require everyone to wear a mask in the office.

  • All staff members and patients must wear masks in the facility

We are extremely focused on keeping our facilities clean:

  • Surfaces and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using products that are effective against a range of organisms, including the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

  • We clean our waiting rooms frequently.

  • Our exam rooms are cleaned and disinfected frequently,  including before and after each patient, according to guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Michigan Department of Health.

  • Hand sanitizer is always available.

  • Our doctors and all medical staff members sanitize or wash their hands before and after every interaction with patients.

We are minimizing the number of people at our facility and practicing social distancing:

  • We have a restricted visitor policy in our office. No visitors are allowed, except for limited circumstances.

  • We are following all social distancing guidelines for patients and staff members.

  • Our waiting room chairs are spaced 6 feet apart, and only a few patients will be allowed in the waiting rooms at a time.

  • The number of staff members in exam rooms and operating rooms is limited, and only those essential to your care are present. We maintain at least 6 feet between people except during medical care activities.
